Resource Manager of Crawford County United Way

Position Status: Reports to: Executive Director
Part-Time (25 hrs. per week)

DUTIES:

Community Partners & Community Investment

  • Review and maintain knowledge of the United Way investment process
  • Prepare board / committee agendas, minutes, and financial documents
  • Meet with community partners to support / expand investment process
  • Publish and distribute monthly newsletter; update email lists
  • Manage & market fundraising events (e.g. Art with a Heart, Chili Cook-Off.)
  • Write, submit, and track grants.
  • Serve as referral source for social service inquiries.
  • Monitor income notices from companies; confirm proper payments
  • Assemble annual UWCC budget

Special Events (Day of Caring / Art with a Heart)

  • Plan logistics: recruiting, scheduling, site setup, volunteers, and materials
  • Coordinate publicity before.after events (press, social media, thank-yous.)
  • Track finances for each event.
  • Serve as on-site representative during events.

Campaign

  • Prepare campaign materials (brochures, pledge cards, direct mail, PR).
    pledge cards, direct mailing and public relation materials.
  • Work with Campaign Committee to lidentify and contact businesses. 
  • Schedule and attend meetings with business / community leaders.
  • Organize and maintain campaign files
  • Process campaign pledges; update info in Andar system.
  • Maintain mailing / contact lists (donors, volunteers, leadership giving).
  • Distribute donor thank you letters/cards.

Maintain and Update Website & General Office Duties

  • Update UWCC and Knox websites with events, board materials, newsletters.
  • Format and upload photos, forms, and applications.
  • Maintain board-only  areas (minutes, financials, reports).
  • Troubleshoot issues with website vendor,
  • Manage and post regularly on social media platforms.
  • Perform other general clerical duties (copying, scanning, emailing, and filing)
  • Attend community programs representing United Way (Days of Caring, Art with a Heart, Community
    events, etc.)
  • Implemented new credit card company for UWCC to separate revenue stream from Knox
  • Provide staff support for all board and committee needs
  • Use Facebook and other social media sites to regularly post UWCC information
  • Other duties and tasks as needed
  • Schedule, compose agenda and attend Human Resources, Events and Marketing, and Campaign
    Committee meetings

Financial Responsibilities (with Executive Director)

  • Attend quarterly Joint Finance Committee meeting
  • Prepare and merge Crawford and Knox annual budgets
  • All deposits and receipt scanning for Crawford County
  • Determine/track monthly balances owed between Crawford and Knox.
  • Scan, collect all Crawford bills and original copies for the Remit
  • Approve of outstanding bills to accountant
  • Maintain online Crawford banking accounts and statements and forward to Knox and Kemper
  • Marathon checking account reviews and updates to MPC

Office & Administrative Duties

  • Answer phones and handle donor / volunteer / media inquiries
  • Collect/process mail; make deposits
  • Order Office Supplies
  • Process accounts payable / receivable invoices
  • Perform general clerical duties (copying, scanning, emailing, filing).
  • Attend community programs / events representing United Way.
  • Schedule and prepare agendas for HR, Events / Marketing, and Campaign Committee meetings.
